The Wider Church

St Peter's & St John's belong to Chester Diocese which is part of the Church of England. Pictured is the nave of Chester Cathedral, the mother church of the diocese. The Church of England is part of the Anglican Communion, within which Chester Diocese is linked with the Province of Melanesia.
Within each of our parishes there is a Methodist Church.
In the city of Chester, Link-Up is an informal network of churches, and the Light Project works with many churches on youth and community projects. Chester Bible Focus provides Bible Expositions two or three times per year.

Guilden Sutton C of E Primary School

The primary school in Guilden Sutton has a Church of England foundation (voluntary controlled). The building is modern and lies at the centre of the village. St John's has close links with the school through its foundation governors, the Rector's weekly assembly and other occasional visits, and school visits to the church. Funds from the sale of the old school are held in the Old School House Trust which provides grants for persons under the age of 25 who have at any time attended Guilden Sutton Primary School.

Mickle Trafford Village School

The village school lies near the heart of Mickle Trafford in a building opened in 1909 which has seen continuous development in recent years, and which has extensive attractive grounds. The Rector conducts assemblies once per fortnight, and the school has on many occasions used St Peter's church for performances.
