Pictured is the nave of &lt;a href="http://www.chestercathedral.com/"&gt;Chester Cathedral&lt;/a&gt;, the mother church of the diocese. The Church of England is part of the &lt;a href="http://www.anglicancommunion.org/"&gt;Anglican Communion&lt;/a&gt;, within which Chester Diocese is linked with the &lt;a href="http://melanesia.anglican.org/"&gt;Province of Melanesia&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;Within each of our parishes there is a Methodist Church.&lt;br /&gt;In the city of Chester, &lt;a href="http://www.link-up.org.uk/"&gt;Link-Up&lt;/a&gt; is an informal network of churches, and the &lt;a href="http://www.lightproject.org.uk/"&gt;Light Project&lt;/a&gt; works with many churches on youth and community projects. &lt;a href="http://chesterbiblefocus.blogspot.com/"&gt;Chester Bible Focus&lt;/a&gt; The building is modern and lies at the centre of the village. St John's has close links with the school through its foundation governors, the Rector's weekly assembly and other occasional visits, and school visits to the church.
